Over the past two decades, the University of Notre Dame has strived to advance its understanding of and support for students who identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (GLBTQ).

A campus minister at Notre Dame has a message for gay students: We can challenge one another without thinking that disagreement is moral failure, bigotry or hatred.

Founded in , PrismND is Notre Dame’s first and only official LGBTQ+ undergraduate student organization. We are dedicated to fostering the campus LGBTQ+ community and raising awareness of our needs by hosting a variety of events: from our weekly HangOuts to annual, campus-wide events like our annual fall Gala and spring Art Showcase.

Fine by Me” T-shirt campaign put together by the emerging Gay-Straight Alliance sought to be an easy, nonviolent way to make the University aware of the support for homosexual persons at Notre Dame.
