Gay culture embraces fashion and supports creativity- straight male culture embraces- well, sports and machismo. You can absolutely be a straight fashion designer, but you might as well accept that some ppl are going to jump to that conclusion based on statistics- because that will likely happen your entire career if you go into fashion.
